What is CBD?
CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, which is a naturally occurring constituent of the cannabis and hemp plants. Cannabidiol is one of at least 113 active cannabinoids identified in cannabis, and it is often classified as a nutritional component and wellness supplement.
Of all the cannabinoids found in hemp, CBD has excited the medical community the most with its potential health benefits. Recently, scientific studies have been exploring the positive health benefits that CBD has to offer, opening up a world of treatment options for patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
Although it is a cannabinoid, CBD does not directly interact with the brain’s usual cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2. What is CBD Oil Used For?
CBD oil is a specific type of cannabis oil that utilizes CBD as its main component. At 43 Solutions, we use an ethanol-based extraction process to obtain the CBD oil from our artisan hemp, to provide an extremely pure, high-quality oil. This oil is then used to make supplements that come in a variety of forms, including tinctures, concentrates, salves, and capsules. Our products are “full spectrum” meaning they contain a wide variety of cannabinoids naturally occurring in hemp.

Is CBD Psychoactive? (Does it get your high?)
When it comes to the effects of CBD oil, one of the top questions we are asked is “does CBD oil get you high?” The answer to this question is no. Cannabidiol is classified as mildly psychoactive and can actually counteract the psychoactivety of THC. CBD is one of the top cannabinoids present in the hemp plant, with the other abundant cannabinoids being THC, CBD, CBG and CBDA. THC is the psychoactive cannabinoid that provides users with the “high” that many people associate with cannabis. Our products contain less than .3% THC, resulting in no psychoactive effects under normal dosages. Our products give you all the benefits of the cannabis plant without the high.*

How Does CBD Make You Feel?
Although every person is different, the most common effect of CBD is a noticeable improvement in overall physical and mental comfort. Is CBD Oil Legal?
Yes, CBD oil is derived from hemp and is legal in the state of Colorado and now in all 50 states. The passing of the 2018 farm bill, also known as the Agricultural Act of 2018, gave authorization to state departments of agriculture and institutions of higher learning in states that have legalized hemp cultivation to grow the crop for research and pilot programs. It is categorized as a food-based product by the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. The cultivation of Colorado hemp is overseen by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
43 Solutions full spectrum hemp products contain a naturally occurring trace amount of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The amount of THC in our products never exceeds 0.3% concentration by weight, per state and federal regulations and definitions of industrial hemp. While it is highly unlikely that one would fail a drug test from using our products, that possibility cannot be ruled out. Always consult with your physician, employer or potential employer, before using any industrial-hemp derived product.

What is the Entourage Effect?
The entourage effect is the phenomena of multiple cannabinoids working synergistically to be more effective than they would singularly. As a group working in concert, they complement and multiply effectiveness and efficiency.
